American Pitbull Terrier/German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix
from Indianapolis, IN, whose intelligence and devotion make her an extraordinary companion for the right person. Weighing 65 pounds, she is strong, sturdy, and full of personality. With her beautiful tricolor coat and deep brown eyes, Augusta is a head-turner and a loyal companion ready for a fresh start.
Augusta is a recent training graduate who has worked hard on her leash manners, impulse control, and focus. She walks beautifully on a leash alongside her person and has embraced crate training, happily settling into her cozy retreat when asked. She thrives on consistency and enjoys focusing on her handler, making her an excellent partner for continued positive reinforcement training.
Her love for people shines in her constant desire for snuggles and companionship. She is incredibly smart and food-motivated, quickly picking up on cues when treats are involved. While she has made great strides in training, she still benefits from a structured home where her boundaries are respected. She has a history of being defensive when she feels uncertain, including one incident where she bit a neighbor on the ankle. Because of this, she would do best with an experienced pet guardian who understands how to manage her interactions and provide ongoing structure.
Augusta thrives with an active lifestyle and would do well in a home where she can enjoy physical exercise and mental enrichment. She is best suited as the only pet in an adult-only home with a guardian who has experience handling high-energy dogs and is committed to maintaining her progress. With patience, training, and a consistent routine, Augusta has the potential to settle beautifully into a home where she feels safe and understood.

Pour toute adoption, nous demandons des justificatifs afin de compléter le dossier de l’adoptant : une pièce d’identité, un justificatif de domicile original de moins de 3 mois, et le certificat d’engagement et de connaissance des besoins spécifiques de l’espèce complété et signé 7 jours avant l’acquisition de l’animal.
Nous demandons également une participation financière, couvrant les frais vétérinaires dont l’animal a bénéficié lors de sa prise en charge (stérilisation, identification, vaccination, etc..). Si l’animal n’est pas encore stérilisé lors de l’adoption, un chèque de caution de 300€ est demandé.
