Please share my story—my forever family is out there, I just know it. Let’s help them find me!
Hi, I’m Azula! I may not be a Golden or a Doodle, but I was rescued right alongside two of them—Mila the Doodle and Rose Bud the Golden—when GRSF stepped in to save us from a backyard breeder. We were all living in awful conditions, mostly confined to crates, neglected, and forgotten. But GRSF didn’t leave me behind—even though I’m “not a golden.” They saw my heart and all the love I have to give.
Now, at just one year old and 42 pounds, I’m a petite mixed breed with striking golden eyes and a heart full of love. After spending nearly my entire life in a crate, I’m finally discovering what it means to live.
When I first arrived at my foster home, I was nervous. Everything was new. But it didn’t take long before I found my groove—running, playing, and zooming around with my new dog friends. I LOVE to play, but I love cuddling up in a lap just as much. I’m your perfect combo of playful pup and snuggly lap dog.
And guess what? I had the coolest day today! I went on my second-ever car ride, walked on a leash for the first time ever, and even visited the vet where I made new friends. I’m officially 42 pounds, up to date on vaccines, and feeling great. In just two weeks, I’ve learned so much about being a dog—not a “creature trapped in a crate who couldn’t stand up,” but a happy, loving companion.
I’m housebroken, great with kids and other dogs, and I don’t even need a yard—as long as I have love, I’m home. I just need someone to keep showing me the “tricks” of being a family dog.
My friends Mila and Rose Bud are still working on trusting humans, but I’m so ready for my forever home. I’m sweet, social, and full of snuggles. Watch my videos—you’ll see a loving little lap dog who just wants to be someone’s everything.
