Barney is a 6 month old Beagle mix who weighs 29 lbs and growing into his long legs. He is calm and barely barks, he is social with other dogs and not reactive to squirrels or thunderstorms. He’s happy to go for a car ride and he’s learning how to sit. He’s working on being house trained and walking on a leash. He loves kibble and he will do anything for it, he is slowly starting to understand treats but ignores squeaky toys. He will nap most of the day away and he loves getting his neck scratched. He hasn’t chewed anything or dig holes in the yard, but he will try to stand up to steal food, he’s learning the commands off, sit, and come here. He’s a people pleaser. He seems happier when he has another pet around. He hasn’t shown signs of resource guarding or separation anxiety (but he is fed separately), he’s not crate trained because he’s too tall for my crate. I caught him sleeping on the patio couch but he quickly got off when I came outside without saying anything to him. He rarely barks, but it’s mostly in the morning when he’s hungry and tea for pets and attention. He’s the sweetest, calmest, easiest puppy I’ve ever fostered. His one accident inside was by the door, so he’s showing promise in understanding to go potty outside after only a few days.
