Benny / Barom has been through so much in his young life. He was abandoned in a crate at the shelter, badly burned, with a note that said the owner could no longer care for him. He went to foster immediately where he began his recovery. After a short stint with an adopter, Benny / Barom was brought to Contra Costa Animal Services by the police department. The owner chose not to redeem him. Benny / Barom was overjoyed to be reunited with his original foster and his foster siblings. Now back in foster, he is quickly re-acclimating to life in a home. He is potty trained and sleeps through the night in a crate on his own. He loves playing with his foster siblings and follows their cues to know when play time ends and cuddle time begins. This 7 month old and 36lb chonky hippo is enthusiastically friendly with people and loves booty scritches and belly rubs. Like all young dogs, Benny / Barom will thrive with rewards based training and socialization. He shows no physical or emotional signs of his hard past and lives life with optimism and joy. Are you looking for a friendly and well behaved pocket pittie to add to your family? Apply to meet him today!
