Bertha is an Australian Cattle Dog/English Pointer, is 4.5yo, weighs 60lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is not microchipped. Bertha knows how to sit upon command, loves car rides and loves playing with other dogs when she calms post-intro.
Bertha's guardian explains why he has made the difficult decision to rehome her:
"I took in Bertha after my father passed. I am now the sole caretaker for my mother and am unable to provide Bertha the attention she needs. She needs a yard to run around in. I live in a condo and am unable to provide the best home for her. She always wants to play with my geriatric Yorkie with a heart murmur which causes him stress. in addition, I am allergic to bertha. I really want to find her the best situation possible."
Bertha's guardian offers a brief medical history: "She was once hit by a car, but recovered with no lingering effects."
Bertha's guardian states the following regarding children: Although Bertha hasn't lived with children, her guardian recommends her living with children, stating "She wants to meet them, say hello, and be petted".
Bertha's guardian states the following regarding dogs: Bertha has lives with a dog, so her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating "She always wants to play with other dogs. She can be a little aggressive at first, but then warms up to the other dog".
Bertha's guardian states the following regarding cats: Bertha hasn't lived with or otherwise been around cats, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats.

"Bertha would benefit from a home with a big fenced yard in the country where she could run around. Bertha would love a home where she is part of the family and the more attention she gets the better. She would benefit from a patient companion dog who also likes to play outdoors."
