This is Bertram! Bertram is a huge personality in a very tiny package. He is a pitbull mix but only 9 pounds at 3 months old. We joke that heâs a pitbull in a frenchieâs body. Donât let his size fool you- he is larger than life with endless energy. He absolutely loves running around with the dogs and cats in his foster home. He is very socially smart when it comes to dogs, he will pester them but them to play but becomes submissive when they correct him. He does not understand that cats do not want to be his very best friend and tries his hardest to play with them. He is the true definition of rambunctious. He is constantly running around and finding something to do. He is so curious about the world- if he can reach it, get into it, or get on it, he is finding a way to interact with it. He knows how to sit on command and is starting to do well with verbal cues for corrections. He is doing great with crate training and has very few accidents in the kennel (unless left for a while). He does still have accidents in the house, but he is still a very young puppy. Did we say he has energy? Boy does he have energy! Bertram was raised in a house with three children, but he can be a bit rough. He gets so excited and jumps, even though he canât make it past your shins. He is learning that hands are not teething toys, but everything else he sees as fair game. He is an exceptionally sweet pup who needs someone willing to put in the time and work that an energetic puppy needs.
