I am an affectionate goofy handsome boy. I love food and have been told that I am very trainable. I was also told those two things go hand in hand; whatever that means. I know how to sit, wait, touch, down, and more! My best trick is that when I am lying down, you can put a treat on my paw, tell me to wait, and most of the time I won't eat it until you tell me “Get it." I really like going on walks two or three times a day and I get pretty excited about cats and squirrels (possibly too excited), but I also like snoozing for hours and will often snore like a grandpa when I do. I am always up for belly rubs and scritches, and I love to play with my squeaky toys, my tug toys, even dryer balls! I have a big smile and love to get my teeth brushed—mostly because I get a dental treat afterward. I’m great on car rides and I love going to new neighborhoods to sniff my way through them. I also love, love, love my family and I have been a great energetic happy dog for them over the past 3.5 years, but circumstances for all of us have changed since we had to move after the fire. But now I get the chance to find a new family that I can love and will love me. I loved my daycare people too, and I am ok with some dogs but need to be the only pet in the home. I will do best with an experienced dog person as I am a bit anxious with all of our recent changes. I really hope we get a chance to meet.
If you are interested in meeting Birdie, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions.
