- DOB:04/25/2021Location: Leander, TexasWe have transport optionsMerle 3 year old neutered maleKept very healthy and vaccinated, HW-Boba is very, very, very loved but even after going through training he is still uncomfortable around kiddos and the busy home lifestyle. We are looking for a giant dog experienced, low key adult home, in the country or slow suburbia landscape. He is very dog friendly! He has doggy play dates. As we will talk about further he has a ton of anxiety so is scared at first but not aggressive during meet and greets. Then it’s all fun. The only time he has issues with other dogs is around food so he must be fed alone. As far as cats we aren’t sure. He has never met one.Now to discuss some of the things Boba needs help with! —> Anxiety..he is a nervous Nelly anytime he is outside of the house. Shaking in fear. He will likely have a regress in separation anxiety when he is placed in a new home but once settled he can be left out of crate. He is terrified of storms and will sometimes nervous pee. He needs a thunder buddy for sure. He needs a confident owner who can help guide him through these issues and maybe some medication (we will evaluate once in our care).—> Kids and Strangers.. Boba has let his family know he does not enjoy being startled when sleeping by the kiddos. He also does not like when people come over unannounced (kids). He has two minor bites on his record that we have pictures of. Very small and no medical attention needed. When a new guest comes into the home he needs slow and controlled introductions. He will sometimes mouth and nudge the guest to get them to stop moving. Basically, Boba doesn’t like being startled or when the energy of the house is too high energy excited. We can’t blame him! Some of us just aren’t the party animal social type. What DOES Boba love? Well..sun bathing of course! Watching the steady sound of the wind blowing through the trees. He’s all about the zen moments. He also loves perching up on the couch with his arms crossed. He also is quite the master chef. He does this funny thing where he won’t eat his kibble until he has perfectly evened out the surface with his nose. Long post! Thanks for reading this far. He’s a great boy and we’re thankful his owner shared every detail about him. We really want to help him find a new spot. Have any questions? Let us know! There has to be a special home for him out there.Foster application: https://form.jotform.us/60263115921144(Can be a foster to adopt)For more information, please email us at rescueme@srgdrr.org.
