Bunsen is a beautiful, 72lb dog. When meeting him, a common reaction to him is, `He looks like an overgrown Frenchie!`When he arrived at our shelter, when saw that he needed some confidence. We thought that giving him some training and cool skills would be just what he needed to help him grow and thrive. He joined our prison program, The FIDO Project, and has learned basic obedience and and other useful cues. Some of the new things he learned was sit, stay, look, come, wait, down, touch, bow, leave it, drop it, up, off, spin, shake, and more! He currently lives at Marion Correctional Institution and is waiting for a new home. We would be glad to introduce you to him. Because he is located off site, we would have to set up an appointment for you to meet him. Bunsen is a smart dog with a big personality and a love for play. He enjoys a good romp and isn’t afraid to play hard—but he also likes to set the rules. Bunsen does best as the only dog in the home, or with a dog who understands social boundaries and is happy to let Bunsen take the lead.
