Meet Buster – Your New Best Friend in a Tiny, Spotty Package!
Buster’s story started out rough, but he’s already proving that the best things come in small, scrappy, lovable packages. This adorable pup was rescued alongside his mom and siblings from a high-kill shelter in Houston, TX—just moments before their time ran out. All of them were suffering from a contagious form of mange, but thanks to a team of amazing foster families, they were whisked to safety and surrounded with love, care, and plenty of snuggles.
Now, Buster is thriving in his foster home and ready to find his forever family!
At around 4 months old and 14 lbs (as of April 28), Buster is expected to stay small to medium in size—his mom is a petite Blue Heeler at just 35 lbs. We’re not sure who dad was, but we’re pretty sure Buster got the best mix of cute, clever, and cuddly. With his playful energy, affectionate nature, and those soulful puppy eyes, he’s an irresistible companion in the making.
Buster is doing great with potty training and loves romping around with his siblings. He’s being fostered with kids and does wonderfully with them—gentle, sweet, and always ready to play. Like any pup with some herding dog in his genes, Buster will need an active family who’s ready to guide him with love, consistency, and plenty of exercise to help him grow into the happy, well-adjusted dog he’s meant to be.
This little guy has beaten the odds—now he just needs someone to believe in him for life.
