Are you a Billy Idol fan who would like a dog with a permanent curled lip just like one of your favorite rock stars? Maybe you are a Star Wars fan who needs a partner to wear all of your favorite tees and carry a light saber with you. Well, Callum is your guy!
Callum is an adult male located in Georgia. He was rescued from a shelter in need of heartworm treatment and time to decompress. He is very handler focused and has a great off switch. He is perfectly happy cuddling inside, relaxing on the porch with his person, or hanging out for soft play with other dogs.
At first, Callum needs slow introductions to other dogs. His foster actually had to re-set and begin again when he was introduced to the resident dog after 5 days. But once he felt comfortable, he became very interested in other dogs and is appropriate in his play and body language. Callum prefers dogs that are more neutral rather than pushy dogs who don't respect his space.
Cats are an absolute no for Callum. He watches the resident cats intently with rigid body language and is thus kept separate at all times.
Callum is very photogenic and loves his stuffed rhinoceros. He carries it with him everywhere, but he never tears it. It is his rhino baby.
Callum is crate trained, house trained, and knows commands: sit, crate, shake. He is still working on down. Down makes him a little anxious, but his foster is working on that one.
The vet believes his snout and lip are the result of an old injury, but it doesn't slow Callum at all. He is a happy boy looking for his forever. Callum thinks, " 'Dancing With Myself' is for the birds! Won't you dance with me? Won't you be my forever?"
