Calvin is a 1 year old male Wire-haired Standard Dachshund mix, who is a shy but super sweet boy! Although initially unsure with new people, once he knows you, he loves you completely! Calvin has a precious way of snuggling into you so that he can be close and feel safe in your arms. After all, a noisy shelter can be a scary place for young pups! Calvin is fairly mild-mannered and simply loves being with his people. He enjoys going on walks together, and keeps at a reasonable pace so that he can stay close by your side. Once he is in the park, he enjoys exploring scents or showing off his fun playful side, although he will quickly return to be near you. Calvin is a handsome dog with a unique appearance - his legs are longer than his breed, such that he is shaped more like a Lab. But he does sport an adorable “beard”, which gives him a look that is SO hard to resist! And why should you?
