Capone is a 15 year old-deaf senior. Special needs lovers... this boy is for you! Not only would you get to reap the benefits of having one of the most experienced best-friends ever, you get a loyal companion, and a dog that will make you smile all the time! When he walks, he seems a little crooked, but that just adds to his character. When he is following you, his head is cocked off to the side and those little ears of his are all perked up and he is just the most adorable old man, ever! He is being taught some sign language, and regardless of his age, he catches on quickly when it involves something of interest to him. Treats?! This dude knows where they're at, and is seeming to understand the sign for eat. He is gentle takin treats, knows sit (with a hand gesture) and is completely potty-trained and house broken. He gets along with other dogs too, but would prefer another low key companion. Capone really puts the "special" in special needs.
If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application. Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together!
All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts. Please visit our website for additional information. The online application can be found at :https://hsburnettcty.org/adoption-application/
