Dolly ( formerly Carmen) found herself left in the yard after her family moved away. Animal Control picked her up after it snowed several inches. She was terrified in the shelter and really shut down, spending all day cowering and trembling in the corner.
Within minutes in her foster home, she showed us her true personality and this puppy is wide open. Zoomies, squeaky toys, and lots of chew toys- she wants it all! She LOVES balls and is great at fetching. Dolly will make a great frisbee player as she can leap in the air to catch a ball.
This sweetie is very snuggly and LOVES to give kisses. She thrives on praise and would sit on your lap all day if allowed.
She is currently in foster with two dogs and previously was with five dogs and two cats. She has all the adolescent energy you'd expect of a 10 month old pup, so patient or playful dogs will appreciate her. She's quickly learned that her senior foster sister doesn't want to play and she is respectful of her wishes. She is getting used to her crate and learning that it is a safe place :)
Dolly loves to go for walks and is a gentle walker on leash. She also loves to zoom around the yard. Mental games are really fun for Dolly- frozen kongs, treat toys, and learning new tricks will keep her mind occupied. She's already learned some basic commands and a few tricks in foster! When meeting new people, Dolly is timid at first, but very quickly warms up and starts in with the kisses.
Check out Dolly/Carmen's videos to see how much of a transformation she's made since busting out of the shelter!
