Cyam is a 37-lb., 1+ year old spayed female white shepherd mix (?) who is house-trained, crate-trained, and accustomed to a dog door. She likes the company of dogs of all sizes and is not pushy when initiating play. She is endearingly vocal in the mornings and, for whatever reason, most inclined to socialize with people as they are getting dressed to face the day. Having not grown up around people, she is still learning to enjoy our company and is encouraged in that regard by seeing other dogs flock to us -- she takes cues from other canines in her pack. For now, she is most keen to approach people when they are sitting or lying down, although she is also comfortable walking next to/behind whoever is holding her leash. She appreciates the safety of her crate, but would also benefit from some long walks or runs both for people-bonding and as an energetic outlet. She takes treats very gently and does not pull on the leash at all. She loves stuffed toys (even if she tends to eviscerate them) and although she does not behave possessively, she likes to hoard these in her crate and bury them in the outdoor dog run.Cyam has been known to chase cats, although it's unknown whether she would actually hurt one if caught. Her exposure to children is limited but gave no cause for concern. Despite some stressful situations, Cyam's fear never caused her to snap at a person or other dog during her time in foster or the shelter. She has come a long way toward trusting humans, and a patient pet family (ideally one with co-dogs!) will see her through the rest of her journey home.In addition to the still photos below, here is a video that is too big to attach. Maybe you can upload it to her profile anyway or have tools to shorten it. https://photos.app.goo.gl/6yPKKKtNGbnCPGEi7
