Dahlia
12lbs of love. 1 heart full of devotion.
Dahlia is the kind of dog who doesn’t just walk into your life—she melts into it. This 1–2 year old, 12-pound Spaniel mix was rescued from a shelter and has since blossomed into the most tender-hearted, affectionate little soul. She’s not just looking for a home—she’s looking for a heart to curl up in.
From the moment she wakes up, Dahlia’s day begins with love. While some dogs rush outside, Dahlia prefers a few moments of morning snuggles tucked into the big bed, grateful just to be near you. Only after she's had her share of morning affection does she wander out to start her day. She eats breakfast, follows her human from room to room like a little shadow of sunshine, and naps peacefully, always within reach of the person she adores.
Dahlia is a true velcro dog—gentle, loyal, and impossibly sweet. She’ll catch your eye, then flop at your feet in an open-hearted plea for belly rubs. She thrives on touch, leaning her entire being into every stroke and kiss. If your hand pauses for a moment, she’ll softly mouth it, as if to whisper, “please don’t stop loving me.”
While she’s still building confidence with new people and environments, Dahlia’s trust comes quickly—and completely. She’s playful when she feels safe, and while she’s just beginning to show interest in toys, her favorite pastime is still being curled up beside you, quietly reminding you that you’re never alone.
She’s learning to walk on leash and enjoys her daily strolls, though she may need a calm, experienced hand to guide her through some reactive moments with strangers. Her heart is so full, sometimes it spills over in little protective barks—but she’s easily redirected with patience and love.
Dahlia is mostly housetrained, sleeps peacefully in her crate at night, and has quickly learned to take herself outside when given the chance. She’s a smart, sensitive girl who wants nothing more than to make you proud—and be loved in return.
Her ideal home is one filled with kindness and calm, where snuggles are part of the daily routine and patience is plentiful. She may do best with older children and would love a family who understands her tender spirit and gentle need to feel safe and close.
Dahlia is pure love in a soft, furry package—a dog who will give you her heart, over and over again. If you’re ready for a best friend who asks for nothing more than closeness, kindness, and a warm spot beside you, Dahlia is waiting.
