Meet Dublin: The Little Lad with a Big Heart (and Some Very Strong Opinions) Breed: Australian Cattle Dog–Manchester Terrier Mix Born: January 10, 2025 Size: Currently 15 lbs, expected to be medium-sized when fully grown Hobbies: Digging decorative holes, testing the acoustics of his crate, dramatic lap flopping
Straight from the Lucky Charms Litter (yes, that one), Dublin is Corned Beef’s brother—just slightly smaller, slightly sassier, and very ready to find his forever couch... we mean, home.
Dublin is two scoops of energy, one scoop of snuggle, and a dash of melodrama if you try to crate him before he’s emotionally ready. But hey—growth is happening! He’s already much quieter in the crate than when he arrived, and we suspect he’ll be 90% crate-trained soon. He’ll even politely wake you in the middle of the night when nature calls (and then politely-ish protest going back in).
Once given a day or two to decompress, Dublin’s true self emerges: a spicy little meatball with feelings. He’s playful, vocal, and curious—but sensitive to sudden noises and chaotic movements. Dublin’s dream adopter is someone who understands that the world can be a lot sometimes, and who’s committed to helping him build confidence through positive experiences (and also snacks—he is very treat-motivated).
He’s been fantastic with dogs of all sizes, polite with cats, and savvy enough to read the room—if another dog doesn’t want to play, he gets the hint and backs off (unlike his sibling Bagpipe, who has no such filter). Dublin enjoys the company of other dogs but clearly prefers human attention. He’s a classic velcro pup who just wants to be near you—on your lap, by your feet, maybe in your hoodie if you’d let him.
Some things you should know:--He enjoys backyard digging like it’s his personal landscaping project
--He will sound the alarm if a squirrel even thinks about approaching the fence
--He is soft-hearted beneath the sass and thrives when approached with patience and calm energy
Dublin could do well in a home with gentle, dog-savvy kids 8+, but he’s still learning how to be brave in a big, noisy world, so a calm home will suit him best as he continues building confidence. His foster is already working on slow exposure and confidence-boosting exercises, and he's improving every day.
If you’re looking for a smart, sensitive, loyal pup with just the right amount of sass and a strong preference for lap privileges—Dublin is ready to shamrock your world
