**************
Duke is a beautiful Cane Corso (approx. 2-3 years old) who is fully potty trained, crate trained, and neutered. He is up to date on all vaccinations and has been given a clean bill of health by the vet. He is friendly and affectionate; in many ways, he is a gentle giant.
Duke loves to play in the yard (he does get the zoomies from time to time, which can be quite an exciting experience for this 100-lb dog!) but also likes some routine and structure. After a good romp around the backyard, chasing toys and jumping around, he’s happy to settle in for a nice nap!
He gets along very well with other dogs, including our 8-year-old Maltipoo. Duke also goes to doggie daycare twice a week and loves hanging out with all his friends there. He is also great with kids.
The ideal home would be one with some room to run and play (and maybe even another doggie friend in home to play with!), and with someone who is home often and can devote a little time and attention (preferably an owner who has had experience with dogs of his size and/or breed). He’s not thrilled with being alone for long stretches, and when that’s necessary he tends to prefer the crate. Because he has undergone some trauma in his past, he has a few issues with anxiety. But he’s happy to give (and receive!) a lot of love and will make a great family dog in the right home.
