Pet Description: Emma is a one-year old female Pit, only about 40 lbs so not a big gal. She is beyond sweet which shows her wonderful temperament as her 'person' drove to our Shelter about 8:30 on night, opened his car door and she just stayed right with him as he then got a wire crate out and put it at our front door and then put her in it and left (yes, have it all on camera but could not read the license plate). This sweet gal sat in her crate, on the the bag of food he put in with her until we got her about 7:30 the next morning. She was so happy to see someone and this little gal is just a love bug! She will dance for treats, knows sit, waits on treats, is good on a leash and play wonderfully with toys. She would be perfect in many a family and can bet she will be awesome with children she can call her own.
DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more. (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).

IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you. Please make sure you have either added our email (hselco@bellsouth.net) to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe. If we do not receive a timely response we simply move on to another applicant.

Pour toute adoption, nous demandons des justificatifs afin de compléter le dossier de l’adoptant : une pièce d’identité, un justificatif de domicile original de moins de 3 mois, et le certificat d’engagement et de connaissance des besoins spécifiques de l’espèce complété et signé 7 jours avant l’acquisition de l’animal.
Nous demandons également une participation financière, couvrant les frais vétérinaires dont l’animal a bénéficié lors de sa prise en charge (stérilisation, identification, vaccination, etc..). Si l’animal n’est pas encore stérilisé lors de l’adoption, un chèque de caution de 300€ est demandé.
