Approximate Weight: 31 lbs.

Currently Living At: DC area foster home
Ezra is Looking For: his forever home to explore all the adventures you can dream up for him. He is still in his prime and has plenty of energy for outdoor fun and will love walks, hikes, and trips to the dog park. At the end of the day, a place on the couch to cuddle sound perfect to him. This handsome guy can’t wait to find his family
What My Foster Says About Me: Ezra is such a loving dog! He has settled in quickly and revealed his big, sweet personality. Ezra has met adults and kids and has proven that he just loves people in general. His favorite thing is to snuggle up in your lap and get all the belly rubs he can. He is doing well with both house training and crate training.
Heartworm information: Ezra was heartworm positive, but this Lucky Dog got extra lucky! This pup is part of a groundbreaking study we are conducting at our South Carolina Rescue Campus that has the potential to change the way shelters across the United States treat heartworm positive dogs. All dogs in the study are placed at random in either the 2 shot or 3 shot protocol with strictly monitored protocols in place. Four weeks following their final injection, the pups are eligible to transport to the DC area for placement in foster or adoptive care. After treatment concludes, we work with adopters to arrange a free follow up heartworm test after 6 months, followed by a second test at 9 months. Ezra has completed the treatment and activity restriction phase, and is awaiting his six month follow up test.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog
