At just one year old and 45 pounds, he has all the enthusiasm of a big puppy and thrives in an active environment. He loves toys, enjoys a good chew bone, and is happy playing in the yard or house. A car ride companion, Finch is always ready to go wherever his people take him.

This outgoing and friendly boy is house-trained and sleeps in the bedroom. He gets along well with the dogs and the cat in his foster home and absolutely loves kids. He does best with slow introductions. However, because he’s still learning to keep all four paws on the ground, he’d do best in a home with children over 10. Finch knows a few commands, including sit and lay down, and he is a smart dog who loves to figure things out, making him a great fit for someone who enjoys training and mental stimulation.

Finch is looking for a home that can match his energy and enthusiasm for life. Because he is vocal, a house rather than an apartment or townhouse would be best. His minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
