Fisher was brought to the as a stray with his friend Starfish. Unfortunately, we were unable to locate his owner, so he is here, eagerly waiting to find his forever home! Fisher is an active dog who will thrive best with having a positive outlet for his energy. He is a happy guy who would benefit from keeping both his body and brain active! We do not have any background information on Fisher; it is unknown if he has lived with children or other dogs. During his time in the shelter Fisher has loved meeting new people and is happy to do so. He has not been reactive towards other dogs and may do well with another friend! We can always provide a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if needed. Fisher is always so excited to get out of his kennel, over time he has begun playing tug with his leash when it is time to go outside. To curb this behavior we have offered him a toy to carry instead, he walks on a leash much better now! It can be difficult to tell if a dog is fully potty trained in the shelter environment. Fisher is asking for some grace while he adapts and continues to learn in his new home! Fisher does take treats gently and knows the cue âsitâ. Fisher has done great with handling and loves a good scratching! You may notice that he is shedding so much right now and would benefit from a good brushing. Luckily, he loves it! Fisher is such a good boy who simply needs to get out of the shelter so he can be the best version of himself. If you feel that Fisher would be a good fit for your home, we would love for you to come and meet him!
