LOCATION: Heath, TexasDOB: 11/26/2014 (Estimate)Meet Hatch, a senior Great Dane with a heart full of love, a face full of wisdom, and the most expressive eyebrows you’ve ever seen. Hatch has been waiting over 900 days for his forever home—longer than any dog should have to wait—and recently suffered a heartbreaking loss when his best friend, Mulder, crossed the rainbow bridge. Now, Hatch is looking for a home not just to rest, but to heal, to be loved, and to finally belong.Sprung from the shelter with Mulder by his side, Hatch clearly came from a home where someone had started to invest in him. He knows his manners, respects the house rules, and is fully house-trained. Hatch doesn’t need a crate—he’s a true gentleman indoors—and he loves nothing more than lounging in a sunny patch of yard or relaxing quietly at your feet after a stroll.Though he’s a senior, Hatch still has pep in his step. He enjoys his time outside, chasing the breeze and sniffing the air, but he’s just as content coming inside for dinner—his second favorite part of the day (snacks coated in peanut butter win first place).Hatch is wonderful with people and would do well in a home where any kids or grandkids are over five. He gets along with most dogs and has a polite, respectful demeanor—he just prefers slow, thoughtful introductions when meeting new canine friends. He hasn’t been tested with cats, so we’re unsure how he’d feel about feline roommates. For over two years, Hatch has waited. Through it all, he’s remained steady, patient, and hopeful. Now, without his lifelong companion, he’s searching for a family who will give him the love he’s been missing and the peace he deserves. If you’re looking to open your heart to a wise, loyal, and endlessly charming soul, Hatch is ready. Let’s make sure he doesn’t have to wait another day.========================= To apply to adopt me, please fill out the application form! https://form.jotform.com/51994996709176 .For more information, please email us at rescueme@srgdrr.org.
