HENRY is a beautiful and fun-loving Aussie-Border Collie mix who is loving his indoor life in foster with new canine and human friends.
Henry was rescued from a rural shelter where he was a Staff Favorite dog; when they reached out to us we picked him up the next day!
Henry has been with his foster Mom for almost a month. He’s been neutered, he’s housebroken, he’s good with the other dogs and people.
We have to assume Henry was an outdoor-living dog before we rescued him but he has adjusted extremely well in foster care. We believe he’s ready to begin forever with the right person or couple.
Henry is gentle; he’s mild mannered indoors but also fun and active when there’s someone who wants to play. He will need leash-training that’s one area that is challenging in foster homes but we are sure he will learn quickly!
Henry is smart, he’s adapted to car rides, he’s been to the vet and to a dog-wash as well as a couple of errands. He’s looking to bond with his humans so we really want to find the right home soon.
Like all rescue Aussies Henry will need time to decompress in his new home. We are looking for a moderately active person or couple who have herding breed experience and where he won’t be left alone all day.
If you’re looking for a sweet, funny new fur friend this handsome red-headed blue-eyed boy could be for you!

Adoption Fee $450 - the fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE and is not specific for any dog or puppy; it goes to the expenses of the organization as a whole*
OUR APPLICATION IS ON www.dashdog.org and must be completed in order to set up a meeting.
Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!
General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities.
We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.
