Henry is a 9-year-old mixed breed (our best guess is a hound/shepherd mix) with a sweet and gentle soul and a zest for life.  He weighs 44 lbs but is very compact. Henry was surrendered to a shelter because his elderly owner became too sick to care for him. Now he’s looking for a new family to love!Don't let his age fool you - he's still a playful guy who loves a good zoom around the yard! Henry thrives when he is part of a pack, so at least one other dog in the home is required. He gets along with dogs of all sizes, both male and female.  He is also great with kids and cats.  He even lets the cats in his foster home share his bed and crawl in his crate with him.  He might be scared for a few days in a new environment, but he will quickly transform into his true self - a smiley, tail-wagging best buddy for your family! He sleeps quietly in his crate and is house-trained, but he might try to mark at first in a new home.  He tends to freeze when you try to walk him on a leash, so that will require a bit of patience and practice. Because of that issue, a fenced in yard is required.Henry is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.
