This is Jack! He is a beautiful, young, seemingly full-blooded Yellow Lab looking for his forever home. He’s great in the house, kennel-trained, and knows basic commands like sit, fetch, “load up,” and walks pretty well on a leash. Fetch is his absolute favorite thing in the world—he’s completely obsessed and will play for hours if you let him! He has been eating Purina complete adult lamb dog chow, but he loves any food lol.
Jack is a sweetheart who loves attention, being petted, and being as close to his people as possible. He does great on car rides and absolutely loves water. He’s been around both big and small dogs and gets along well, though his playful energy and excitement might be a bit much for smaller or shy dogs.
Jack deserves a loving home where he can thrive and be someone’s loyal companion. If you’re looking for an affectionate, playful, water-loving pup, Jack might be the perfect fit for you!
Jack is around 1 year old and will complete his vetting this coming week and will then be adoption ready.
Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.
All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!
Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up.
Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you!
