Meet Jupiter, the Australian Terrier mix! Jupiter came to the Shelter with her “friend” Astro. Staff have observed that they are quite the duo – very comfortable with each other and often acting in tandem. They are not required to be adopted together but could be a cute pair looking to adopt two. Jupiter has been very easy going when interacting with staff and volunteers since her arrival. During his time at the Shelter, she has been not so fond of sharing her space and people with other dogs besides her bud Astro. Jupiter would likely thrive as the only dog in the home in her next home. If you're looking for a pint sized walking buddy to help you get your steps in – Jupiter may be your gal!This dog’s adoption fee is reduced to $70 from May 1st to May 15th as part of “Empty the Shelters”, an adoption event hosted by the Bissell Pet Foundation to help pets across the nation find the loving adoptive homes they deserve.Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
