PO Box 52, Amherst Junction, WI, 54407, United States
Keeran is a senior lady looking for her forever.
Don't let her age fool you, though. She still has
plenty of gumption.
While she may not be as fast as a younger Malinois,
her mind is sharp as a tack, and she will need daily training, exercise, and engagement.
She has earned her place in this world and prefers to be the leader of the pack, so
her perfect home would be one with a neutral male dog
or no other dogs. However, her foster believes she’d really prefer a neutral male as a play partner. She will respect another dog’s
body language
, communicate well with her body language, and instigate play appropriately.
Cats, small dogs, and young children are an absolute no as Keeran mandates a trade if you would like to remove something from her mouth.
Although fluffy toys are out of the question, she enjoys having a toy or ball in her mouth most of the time; however, she will respect your shoes and dish towels. She
adores car rides and walks nicely on leash
if you would like to take her to the garden center, home improvement store, or out for a hike. Keeran knows
basic obedience
like sit, down, wait (for a few seconds), here, and is crate trained (meals and sleep). She is house trained as long as you are willing to take her out on a schedule; otherwise, Keeran will not leave your side long enough to take care of business and might have an accident.
She will need an experienced Malinois home, one that understands how to set and maintain fair, consistent boundaries and continue her training.
