Hi!  My name is Kevin and I am looking for a forever home.  My previous owners decided they didn't want me anymore and took me to a really scary place called a shelter.  I was in pretty rough shape and as an owner surrender was put at the top of something bad called "the list".  Fortunately for me, a small local rescue came and got me just in the nick of time, tried to give me a haircut as best they could and then asked BCAA if they might be able to help me and they said yes ... yeah!  BCAA is getting me all fixed up with a neuter and dental and I'm now getting lots of good food and treats.  I appear to be a shihtzu-poodle mix as my hair is really soft and my foster mom says I'm going to be soooo handsome once it all comes back in and I get groomed properly.  While I'm a little older at around 8 years old, I don't act my age at all and love going for walks and exploring, but I'm also up for loving and cuddling.  I'm just around 14lbs so I will fit pretty much anywhere.  I have gotten along with all of the other small dogs I have met and even share a kennel with my friend Khloe, a yorkie mix about my size and age, with no problems.  I haven't bothered any of those things called cats.  I have done really well in my kennel with no accidents, barking or tearing up of bedding although I would prefer to be out with you.  I'm good on leash and riding tethered in a car.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
