SPECIAL NEEDS: Deaf.
Meet LEXIE, a 1.5 year old, 45 pound mixed bully breed pup with a heart as big as her ears! Despite being deaf, Lexie has mastered the art of love and companionship, communicating her endless affection through expressive eyes and a wagging tail that never seems to tire. This bundle of joy is not just looking for a home; she's looking for a family to share her boundless energy and sweetness with. She loves spending time with dogs of all sizes or relaxing enjoying a Nylabone or peanut butter Kong next to her person. She is crate trained, house trained, walks well on a leash, and is always looking for approval. Lexie is exceptionally clever, having already learned basic commands through sign language, and she's eager to continue impressing her new family with her quick learning and playful spirit. If you're searching for a loyal companion who will fill your days with joy and your heart with unconditional love, Lexie is ready to meet you and embark on your next adventure together!
Lexie loves to play hard with large dogs but would most likely overwhelm for smaller dogs. She also would benefit from additional training and opportunity to go for jogs/runs. She definitely needs a fenced yard that she can run around in and play as well as going for walks. Lexie likes kids so she's approved for kids over 8 years old; she still acts like a puppy and will knock little ones down due to her enthusiasm.
