Meet Lollipop (aka Lolli), a 1 1/2 year old, 13 lb. chihuahua mix who loves to play. This friendly, fun and active girl is affectionate, loves pets and will roll over for a belly rub. She wants to be where you are and doing what you’re doing. Lolli made her way into rescue after she showed up on the doorstep of a home in Georgia on Christmas Eve. The husband wouldn’t allow her to be fed, but after 2 weeks of her still hanging around, he relented, but they didn’t want to keep her. She is friendly with other dogs, playful but not aggressive with cats, and gives lizards a run for their money. Lolli is a low shedder who hardly barks, walks well on a leash, and sleeps quietly through the night. She should do well with polite, understanding children 3 years or older. Lollipop is a fun, resilient, energetic girl who would love to find a family of her own. Since she loves to play with other dogs, we are preferring a home with another playful, young dog for her, as well as a fenced yard where she can get her energy out. She is just now starting to play with toys. Lolli is heartworm positive at this time, and is on the slow kill method, which means giving a monthly heartworm pill. She can enjoy regular activities. We can explain that process to any interested applicant. Heart worm disease is contracted from an infected mosquito and can not be transmitted to another dog. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Lollipop, please complete an app and tell us more about you.
