At just 3 lbs and a year and a half old, Lucille may be tiny, but she has a giant heart full of love! This sweet little Chihuahua is everything you’d want in a loyal, cuddly companion. Lucille adores being held and absolutely melts into your arms or a warm blanket. Whether she’s curled up in your lap or tucked into her favorite sling carrier, she’s happiest when she’s close to her people.
Lucille enjoys short walks on a leash and is just as content being carried like the princess she is. She’s also a big fan of sunny days—give her a sunny patch of grass and she’ll bask contentedly, soaking up the warmth like a tiny sunbeam.
This resilient girl has bounced back beautifully from an injury (her foster can fill you in!) and is now ready to find her forever home. She’s 90% house-trained and continues to do great with gentle guidance. Lucille lives peacefully with two dogs and two cats and gets along wonderfully with everyone. She even seems to enjoy the company of respectful kids!
Lucille is crate trained and does well when left alone, though if she hears her humans nearby, she may vocalize a bit—just a little reminder that she’d rather be with you!
If you’re looking for a petite pup with a big personality and an even bigger capacity for love, Lucille is your girl. She’s the perfect match for someone who appreciates a cozy snuggle buddy and wants a companion to share quiet moments and sunny days.
Come meet Lucille—you won’t believe how much love fits into 3 little pounds!
If you are interested in adopting
Lucille
, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.
**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
