Yeah, we thought that was an appropriate name for now, at least until he finds a family to give him a more proper name! For now, M.I.B. is an adorable "alien" little man who is a fantastic SUPER MUTT! This little guy was rescued alone while venturing in the streets trying to seek asylum and help. His finder looked around for anyone who had a litter of pups, thinking that he perhaps wandered off from his family. However, they found nothing. Since early March this little cutie has been under the care of rescue and he is now READY for the next part of his journey in finding a forever family.
M.I.B. is your typical active small breed pup. He is curious, active, playful and mostly pure fun! We think he is a pug/chi mix, but he really could have the genes of every single breed in the world given he is a Baja mutt. We do know he will not be bigger than 25 pounds when he reaches full size and will likely reach only 15 pounds when full grown. If you are looking to add a small breed to your family, please understand he is NOT tiny and already weighs 10 pounds. We say this because too many potential adopters are looking for a pup that will be under 10 pounds and he is NOT that dog. However, he is still your perfect example of "tiny but mighty!"
We are looking for adopters with time in their hands to add a puppy to their life. That means puppy training both in/out of their home, as well as house/potty training and normal dog training classes so that he will grow up to be a great dog with good manners. He adores other dogs, although adopters do not need to have another dog in the home. However, we request that adopters are going to socialize him and keep him happy by having doggy playtimes, as he would not be a happy dog just being someone's companion in the house. Please understand that it's not only about human needs, but also about the dog's needs.
M.I.B. is not neutered yet and has a scheduled appointment in late May. For this reason we request applicants are LOCAL to San Diego. His adopter will need to come back to the 92104 zip code for his neuter appointment (the surgery is included in the adoption fee). Therefore, at this time we are ONLY considering local San Diego applicants. If you are interested in this adorable little man, please complete an online adoption application at www.arwob.org. Don't wait!
