Meet Mac! Mac is a stunning 5-year-old Dutch Shepherd mix weighing 80 pounds. Don’t let his size fool you—he thinks he’s a lapdog and will gladly try to prove it! Mac is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on flea and tick prevention. This sweet, loyal boy is incredibly intelligent and well-trained. He knows all the basics—sit, stay, come, down, paw, and even “follow me.” He’s trained off-leash and rarely strays more than 10 feet from his person. Mac is housebroken, crate trained, and thrives on structure and routine.Mac can be shy and cautious when meeting new people, but once he warms up, he’s deeply affectionate and loving. He would do best in a calm, adult-only home without other dogs, though he has lived successfully with a canine companion he grew up with. He also shares his home peacefully with a cat. An adventurous spirit, Mac loves hiking, running, exploring the outdoors, and playing fetch—especially with two balls at once! After a good play session, he’s all about napping hard. His favorite things include the beach, the woods, and feeling the wind in his fur. He’s extremely food motivated and especially loves bacon, bananas, and any kind of snack.Mac is a beloved member of his current family, and making the decision to rehome him has been incredibly difficult. He deserves a home where he can stay active, be deeply loved, and continue to thrive.
