Mantis is a loving, energetic Belgian Malinois with a big heart of gold. He is a very sociable guy who loves to go to the park and public places. Long walks? Yes please! He adores going on long walks to see what's going on in the world. Exceptionally good natured, Mantis loves to meet new people, and is great with other dogs. He also truly enjoys training and investigating new places with his nose. In fact he is very scent focused, and would likely make a great scent work companion. When it is time to play, Mantis full on ready for the fun! Oh yeah, bring on the balls, toys and tugs, he loves it all! Hanging out with his foster sibling dogs is also a great joy for Mantis, whether running around the yard or chewing on each other's muzzles on a dog bed.Mantis is fine in the crate and he is not destructive in the house. His foster mom leaves the crate door open and he loves to hang out in it. Mantis loves his foster siblings - they have a fantastic time playing with each other. Mantis has zero aggression and never initiates squabbles with other dogs. In the evening Mantis is all about cuddle time - he loves to snuggle close, and sit on his foster's lap while watching TV. His favorite place to sleep is with his paws on his foster all night. You will never feel lonely with this boy around! Don't let those silver hairs and his age fool you, Mantis is still very energetic and loves adventures. He is a medium energy guy who needs someone who understands the Belgian Malinois breed, and their need for a job/mental stimulation, whether through playing games like nose work/food search or regular training. He is so smart and loving and is absolutely the happiest guy around - an overall wonderful dog! Belgian Malinois are a heathy breed with an average lifespan of 14 to 16 years, so don't pass by this guy just because he is a little older. He has a lot of life ahead and a mountain of love to give! All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and one-year subscription.
