4/21/2025 Foster Feedback:​ Maximus has been with us for about two weeks now, and he’s such a sweet dog who will totally warm your heart. He adores receiving and showing affection and chewing on Nylabones—food is definitely his favorite! He’s quite the charming little beggar and loves puzzle toys filled with treats.


Right now, we’re treating an ear infection and conjunctivitis.  Maximus is not really a fan of the meds, so we have to get a bit creative.
He is working on his crate training and usually behaves well on walks, though he does pull sometimes.

Maximus really doesn’t like being left alone and will follow you around everywhere. He is super playful with other dogs and curious about cats, but sadly, our cats aren’t into him at all.


An apartment might not be the best fit for him since he tends to bark loudly when left alone. He would thrive with another dog around to keep him company.

Maximus is so ready to find a loving family that can shower him with attention and playtime. He is a beautiful dog with a captivating soul. You will fall hard for this dog we have.

Maximus is Anaplasmosis positive. This is a tick-borne illness, and he is currently being treated with Doxycycline.
