Nelly is a purebred Border Collie who is 5 years old, 45 pounds, and has lived her entire life outside.....until now.  We were told by a neighbor that over the years,  she has had multiple litters of pups and was pretty much neglected. Her owner ended up being incarcerated and we were able to get her original owner to surrender her to the rescue. This vibrant girl is now housebroken and wonderful with children. Other dogs and even good with cats.   We have spayed her so that she will never have to deal with giving birth to puppies outdoors ever again. When considering Nelly, we highly encourage you to do your research on Border Collies! They are NOT apartment dogs because they need a job! She is super intelligent but she needs room to run and in her case we insist on a FENCED YARD. Nelly is full of love and energy and is absolutely wonderful with young children, so much so, that you can probably train her to be their "Nanny"!  Nelly promises a family or couple,  many years of fun and entertainment!   If you qualify with the fenced yard, the ability to give her the mental and physical stimulation every day, and of course, the devoted love, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   She is in Tennessee, but we do transport to the northeast with our van filled with adopted dogs and cats every weekend
 





 
Currently in Tennessee, Nelly can hitch a ride to the Northeast in our cozy adoption van — traveling alongside a crew of fellow rescues heading to their forever homes.
