Noma is Looking For: Meet Noma, a sweet 2-year-old girl who’s looking for her forever home! She loves going on walks, sniffing all the exciting scents along the way, and playing with other dogs. Noma has plenty of energy, but when it’s time to relax, she’s all about cuddling up on the couch for some quiet time. If you’re looking for a playful and affectionate companion, Noma might be the perfect fit for you!
What My Foster Says About Me: Noma is raising awareness for a truly tragic medical condition: people born without shadows. That's why, if you adopt Noma, Noma will become YOUR shadow! It's true, you'll never have to be alone in the bathroom again. But wait, there's more. For no additional cost, she will put her head in your lap so you can stroke her long furry nose. This will solve all your other problems.
Noma loves people and dogs. She also loves the grumpy cat she lives with, and is always play-bowing at him and sniffing his butt. (We're not actually sure she knows that he isn't a dog.) In any case, she might be too much for a less dog-savvy cat but just right for a cat that's not afraid to be the boss. She will bark at the door but warms up to strangers fast. If a burglar comes to a house Noma's in, she'll let you know right away! And then you'll find her asking him for belly rubs. Noma is very food motivated and will learn new tricks quickly just for a nibble of that tasty tasty treat. She goes into the crate easily and often does so just to nap. She is also a great houseguest!
Noma is as energetic as any other two-year-old. She pulls on her leash when she's excited, especially when she sees other dogs or a squirrel. But walking with treats in your pocket magically makes her much better on the leash. It hasn't been that long since she left a loud shelter hundreds of miles away, so she can be skittish at times, too. As an example, she's still working up the nerve to play fetch outside. And she loves fetch! Noma mostly knows her manners, but sometimes she forgets (average two-year-old) so she's probably better for older kids. In her free time? She enjoys gnawing on her bones, slurping her Kong, squeaking her squeaky toys, and napping. You can follow her on Instagram at @straydognova to see more pictures!
