Oakie is a 2-year-old bundle of sunshine who came to us after being a devoted mother to her litter of puppies. Now that her days of teenage motherhood are behind her, this sweet girl is spayed and ready to find a loving family of her own!
She currently lives in a foster home with a mom, dad, and their 14-year-old son, plus a bonus human—an 85-year-old grandma who visits daily. Oakie is the ultimate lovebug, a 10/10 snuggler, and a social butterfly who makes everyone feel like the most important person in the world.
Though she doesn’t have pet siblings in her foster home, Oakie stays busy with a variety of social activities. She trains multiple times a week in group classes, excelling in basic obedience, beginner tricks, and beginner agility. She’s a class favorite, often the teacher’s pet and go-to demo dog! She also enjoys weekly walks with her dog friends and even had a sleepover with her best pup pal while her foster family was out of town. She thrives with dogs who match her playful energy.
Oakie is a joy to walk and explore with. She’s great on a leash but can get a little excited when she spots fellow canine friends. She also loves greeting humans with enthusiasm and is working on perfecting her polite hellos in obedience class—she’s making great progress!
This confident, curious girl is always ready for an adventure, whether it’s a stroll through the neighborhood or a training session. But after any outing, she’s all about the snuggles, curling up her 52-pound self as close as possible to her favorite human.
If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, and adventurous best friend, Oakie just might be your perfect match!
