I may be biased but this little guy is the sweetest pup we’ve fostered. Opie is a perfect mixture of playful and cuddly, he can play for an hour straight with my pups and then will climb into your lap for a little snooze.
Opie gets along great with dogs (even ones that are much larger than him), he is super interested in our cat as well. He has no aggression or troubles around food/toys - he loves playing tug the rope with our pups!
He doesn’t LOVE being in the crate but we’ve been feeding him in the crate and that has helped his comfortability being in there for short periods of time. At night he does sleep in a room with our dogs (they have their own room with many dog beds/toys/water) but is not crated.
He isn’t 100% potty trained but he’s almost there - when you take him outside he immediately goes potty, but there are times he may not show he has to go and will grace our hardwood floors with a little pee. We have worked on taking him out every hour just in case he has to go, and that has nearly eliminated any issues in the house. We have left the house for an hour or two at a time to get him used to being alone for chunks of time - he does well and makes use of the time for a good nap!
Opie’s adopters are truly lucky and we feel so fortunate to have spent this time with him!
Opie is from a local reservation. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an
adoption application.
An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.

*Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.*
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can
donate
to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
