Oh, to be loved by openhearted 5-year-old Oreo! Overjoyed at being safe in her foster home, the sweet and submissive 17-pound black and white beauty loves cuddling and snuggling with her fosters, resting her head on them, rolling over for belly rubs and showing them her paw for even more love. As active as she is affectionate, Oreo also loves playing fetch for a half-hour each day and going on one-hour walks, honing her leash skills along the way, and then taking a well-deserved rest. Always outgoing, she especially enjoys meeting and greeting new people, and, at present, seems to do best with dogs her own size or smaller. Counting stuffies as her favorite toys and salmon treats as her favorite treats, Oreo is motivated by food, toys and love, knows “come,” “sit,” “stay,” “down,” “no” and “off,” and is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. Now all Oreo needs is a loving home, preferably with a securely fenced yard, and patient adopters who will continue her socialization and complete her training, including her commands, in return for her own openhearted love.  




Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails).



If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. 



The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following:



Spay/neuter



Microchip



DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. 



Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.



Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption.
