Owen is a 5-month-old Australian Cattle Dog mix who is neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations. He’s a joyful, affectionate pup who absolutely loves his people and spreads happiness wherever he goes.
This sweet boy gets along great with other dogs, is respectful of cats, and would especially love to have a kid of his own. Owen is currently in foster care and has formed a special bond with his human foster brother—he loves sleeping next to him at night and waking him up with morning kisses.
While crates aren’t his favorite (he prefers being near his people), Owen is learning good manners every day. He responds well to gentle correction and is making great progress with puppy mouthiness. He sleeps through the night and loves finding himself a nice comfy spot on the couch or in your bed!!
Owen’s ideal home would be a lively, active home with people who are around most of the time. He would do best with another friendly dog and children to run and play with. He walks well on a leash, is housebroken, and is very responsive to direction. He’s also quite Velcro—very attached to his humans—and shows great potential for off-leash training thanks to his strong recall. He is also drawn to the water, so regular trips to the beach or lake will help him channel some of that puppy energy, and we believe he will thrive with regular swims!
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s ready to grow up with your family, Owen may be the perfect fit!
Owen is being fostered in Rhode Island. For any further questions or to schedule a meet and greet with Owen, please contact his foster home at RoccoHeelerRI@gmail.com.
