Meet Phil! Number one - pictures don’t do this unique, fun and silly creature justice. He is a micro-bully, built like a tiny Hulk. Phil is about 3 years old (best guess), 30 lbs and barely hits the bottom of your knees. His beautiful, blue merle coat is stunning. Phil is charming, full of energy and simply adores affection. Couch potato he is not, but that doesn’t mean he is an athlete that can go for miles. Phil has the essence of a bull dog, sprinkled with a Frenchie vibe. Literally, he is physically half of each. Phil LOVES other dogs and has shown excellent social skills when meeting and playing with new fur friends. He isn’t overwhelming and does play bows to encourage fun! We can tell you now, Phil is going to be a smidge high maintenance, physically. He will probably have some allergy issues that will need to be monitored and maintained. Think, weekly baths, cleaning his toes and ears regularly and really good quality food.
Someone butchered his ears (we inherited him like this) but we know he has a look and energy that some folks love. Phil is a young fella that likes to play with his people. We believe that a low energy lifestyle, with a few daily (short) walks would be ideal for him. If you have another dog in the home, chill with a dash of playful energy is the best fit. Small children might be too much chaos for this guy, so we are recommending older, kind and respectful kids, if any. Phil has probably not been treated very kindly in his previous life, most likely he’s been exposed to physical punishment. Due to that, anyone that thinks he may be a good fit, if you aren’t willing to be patient and understand that kindness and compassion with firm boundaries is the ONLY way to this dog’s heart and happiness - move along.
Phil deserves to be treated like a king. Someone chose to mix up a few breeds to create a micro-bully and they were not thinking of him first. Financial benefits drive this type of dog and they didn’t ask for this. What we need is someone that understands that and knows he needs a little extra TLC. Phil is a very sweet, loving and charismatic dog. His nubby tail wags ALL the time. Phil lines up to meet people and seeks them out to say hello. Phil is house trained, working on crate training and he walks on a leash like a champ. He spends time at the office a few days a week, and rides in the car like he was meant for it. Phil isn’t a barker, but he will snort and chirp when he wants your attention. It’s the cutest thing EVER! If you love the little bully breeds, he could be the one. We know his person is out there!
