Raven is a 3-year-old Belgian Malinois. She came from a shelter very underweight and with 10 one-month-old puppies, which are now old enough to find their own homes.


 


She has been diagnosed with EPI (Endocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency). It requires her food be soaked in an enzyme to help her digest food. Since this change in diet, she has gained weight and is at her ideal weight of 80 lbs.


 


She is pet dog material, with less mouthiness and energy than a working Malinois would have. She gets a little mouthy when excited or happy, occasionally giving little air snaps typical of Malinois. Because of this, a home with older kids or adults only is recommended. She has a medium energy level, which may increase as her health continues to improve.


 


Raven is a luv-bug! She leans in for pets, and prefers affection over playing fetch. Little tugs at clothes might be given if she feels neglected in the love department. She has no training, but is becoming accustomed to her new indoor life without puppies pestering her.


 


She does well with male dogs. No cats or small critters for her though. 


 


Raven is a level 3, requiring a home with Shepherd or Malinois experience.
