Ricky's a dog who thrives in the open air!
With Australian shepherd and blue heeler running through his veins he LOVES to work! He’s happiest at dog parks, going on runs, hiking, playing fetch, being chased, and chasing other dogs.
“Outside" is probably his favorite word!
He Loves cuddles and rubs at night (his expressive eyes will draw you in) Ricky is an extremely intelligent dog. He’s very curious and loves to learn.

He is fully house trained. He would fit best in a home with active, but calm adults and older dog experienced children who understand boundaries and are committed to positive reinforcement training where he can feel secure. He requires exercise and patience so he can gradually build confidence in a calm and supportive environment. Ricky needs slow introductions to new people as he is still building confidence. When Ricky finds himself in an unfamiliar situation, he can become very anxious and fearful. He needs a patient, understanding adopter who can work with him on management of this.

Ricky craves a loving, active family who can provide him with the structure and guidance he needs to blossom into the confident, playful pup he's meant to be. He's got a heart full of love waiting to be shared with the right people.
