Rusty is bonded with Tank, is 10yo, weighs 50-60lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped. Rusty has free roam of the house during the day and sleeps on his bed next to his foster provider/guardian's bed at night; he's an absolute sweet heart. There are no issues with Rusty during car rides. Rusty is a brave boy who appears to fear/dislike nothing.
Rusty's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him: Rusty's current guardian is fostering him and Tank and has been since she rescued them from an untenable living situation in December 2023. Since their foster provider/guardian already has 2 dogs of her own, she must rehomed them, preferably together.
Rusty's guardian offers a brief medical history:
"Rusty was adopted by his previous owners. When he was first adopted, he had heart worms. He was treated and has not had them since. He most recently had a negative test in December 2023. There are no other injuries/treatments that I'm aware of."
Rusty's guardian states the following regarding children: Rusty lives with children, ages birth to 7yo, so his guardian recommends his living with children, stating "We have never had any issues! Aside from wanting to be petted, he will typically just find a comfy spot to lay down".
Rusty's guardian states the following regarding dogs: Rusty lives with dogs, so his guardian recommends his living with dogs, stating "When passed dogs on walks, he does not seem very interested/he just keeps walking".
Rusty's guardian states the following regarding cats: Rusty hasn't lived with cats, so his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats.
Rusty's guardian describes him as:

"I would love Rusty to have a loving, forever home during his senior years. I would also love for him to be in a home that he's allowed to snuggle up on the couch - if so, he will pretty much be there all day. He does get very happy to go outside, so I would love for his future home to have a fenced in yard (this is my biggest preference). He did not get to go out much in his previous home, so I would just love to give him the opportunity in his forever home. I would ideally really like Tank and Rusty to be placed together in a home. In addition, if local, I would love to keep in touch and even be a dog sitter if/when needed."
