Sam is a Queensland red heeler, about 5 years old. 50lbs. He came from a backyard breeding situation and was rescued by Brandon McMillan [and is in his Stray Recon episode].  He is a little shy, but he's quickly coming out of it and we are working with him to help gain confidence and trust. He's come a long way already - he's friendly to the volunteers and is walking on a leash and absolutely loves water. He's still cautious of strangers - he just needs to learn to trust and sense that you are kind and caring. Beautiful, healthy boy who has been vetted and is ready to go now to his forever home.  
Available to a home with no dogs and no children.

Based upon an adoption return, even though we have not been able to see any of the reported issues after numerous attempts to replicate them across various experiments and assessments and in several locations outside our premises, we would recommend a one dog family at most.  Sam is highly intelligent and intuitive, and he is also food motivated.  He does play-bite because he has not really had time around humans, however we have been able to almost completely eliminate this issue in the last few days.  He is loyal, curious, but also cautious.
