Fetch! Ok … here I am! My name Sarabi and I love to play fetch and go on adventures and run. I am a very smart and athletic girl that would love an active family of my very own.
I am a sweet and cuddly Hound Mix (with those soulful hound eyes) full of love and curiosity. I LOVE people, snuggles, kisses and have an enthusiasm for life. One of my favorite things is spending time outside in the yard, playing by myself, basking in the sun and running around. When I get up in the morning I like to say hello to the sunshine and dance circles in the yard – my people call them my super circles of happiness. I am here to spread joy!
I may be more reserved than the other dogs in public, but that just means I like to take my time to observe and understand the world around me. It's probably better to be the only only dog/pet in my forever home, or with a family who has dogs my size or bigger. Smaller dogs are not for me. Sometimes I resource guard my people, toys and space, we are working on that so it doesn’t become a problem. My foster family said it is really best for it to just be me and you being best friends! And while I have met some kids, I'm hoping for just grown up hoomans to hang out with, or some older kids. I do like to hang out with the older kids, but younger kids are not for me.
I'm a content dog and am happy to chew on my toys and enjoy some quiet time. If you're busy, sometimes I will even toss the ball around myself and my people said I am pretty goofy!
I'm a little vocal in my crate, especially when I see my humans leave, but I calm down quickly. I sleep in there every night without any accidents, but I'd love to sleep in your bed too. I'm a really good snuggler! It would be best if I didn’t have shared walls in my forever home because sometimes, I have things to say (bark bark!). I would really love it if my people were home a lot or took me on adventures with them! I am an active dog and would love to explore with you!
Fetch! Ok ... I’m back again. If I haven’t mentioned it, I love playing fetch! I can jump very high and am quite athletic. If you could think of some games to teach me I would love that! I love leaping over the flower beds and little bunny fences. And I also love to run!
My favorite activities include chewing on toys, and of course, eating all kinds of yummy food. I know commands like "sit," "come," "leave it," "go potty," and "go to bed." As you can see, I am a very smart girl. I have even figured out leash walking. Oh boy, I would love it if my forever family took me on long walks. Or long runs would be the absolute best! I could help you train for your next race!!
I promise, with patience and love, I’ll learn to feel more secure. If you're looking for a sweet, smart, cuddly, and eager-to-learn companion, I’m your girl. I can’t wait to steal your heart and be a part of your family.
*Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.
