Sarge is one of our dogs who is at Paws in Prison. He just started a week ago, so he has about 7 weeks left to go. While there he’ll work on basic commands, leash walking, house training etc.

Sarge is a fantastic dog, but he’s a terrible model. He’s not known for his posing skills. And so far, all of his pictures have looked like this. Or worse. But he’s a really good boy…friendly, smart, and watchful of everything and everyone around him. Sarge is a good looking German shepherd mix and has the shepherd markings. He’s 1 year old and weighs 90 pounds. He is a bit chunky and could stand to shed a few. He’s going to do very well in school and he’ll make a fine family dog. Sarge loves kids and does well with other dogs. And he’ll take all of the attention that he can get. He’ll even nudge you for more!


If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving dog who’s ready to keep you safe and snuggle you at the same time, Sarge might just be the perfect fit for you.


He is neutered, UTD on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.


Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.
Harrisburg, PA 2am Fridays
Port Jervis, NJ 5am Fridays
Southington, CT 8am Fridays
East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays
