Greetings! My name is Sir Edwin. I love my new name! It sounds very sophisticated, don’t you think? I have been told I am a senior poodle cross. We don’t know my age but we are thinking about 12 years or so. A few weeks ago I found myself in a predicament. I didn’t know where I was and ended up in a very scary place, the shelter. I was super scared and couldn’t see or hear very well. After being housed in what they called overflow, it was decided that I was going to be placed on the euth list. I am not sure what that is but I have a feeling it is bad. I suppose I probably didn’t help myself by snapping at people, but I couldn’t help it. Not only was I traumatized but my mouth is in such incredible pain and my ears really hurt as well. I haven’t felt good in a long time and it has made me kind of cranky. I wish I could tell them I am sorry. Everyday in that place I hoped my family would come looking for me and everyday would pass with no one missing me. Did they not care about me? Had I just become an inconvenience to them? I just didn’t understand what was happening. After what seemed forever, a lady named Sarah came down to see me. She actually picked me to visit with! I wasn’t sure how to take it, but she just took me In a room to hang out for a bit. The time seemed to stop for a while and I was able to relax with her. I was thinking she liked me and she would be my ticket out of this place. But then she left. I was crushed! I was put back in that horrible place. I thought about Sarah everyday. Then one day she came back!!! I was so happy! And then the most incredible thing happened. She took me away from there! Now I am hearing I will be paying the vet a visit and Raining Cats N Dogs is trying to raise money for my care. I am not super thrilled with doctors but I have been told that if I can try to be a good boy, I will not only get a prize but I will be pain free. That sounds good to me! Please help Sarah and Raining Cats N Dogs help me. I will be forever grateful. I just know one day I will find a new family that will love me forever. Sarah keeps telling me I am worth it. So if she says it, I guess it is true! Thank you Sarah for saving my life.
